Grinders For Disc Brake Pads
The machine is designed to be capable to grind motorcycle pads even if the concept of the machine can be suitable also for other types of disc brake pads. In relation to motorcycle pads, the machine can grind pads with or without magnetic backing plate. Our standard sliding rails system has been replaced with a tray that accommodates the pads without damaging the eventual copper coating layer of the backing plate. The machine can eventually grind pads already painted.
We tried to keep the machine simple and essential without renouncing to the crucial components (like the spindles) that guarantee the performances and the reliability of the machine and without compromises with the quality and the precision of the grinding operations, which made our COMEC grinders brand popular worldwide (attached please find the list of our customers).

· Slotting of one or more grooves (slots)

PRODUCTIVITY OF THE MACHINE
The productivity of the machine depends on the size of the pads to be ground. We have calculated that in the case of the biggest pad type (motorcycle), the tray can accommodate 10 pads; in this case the cycle time is 60 sec (including loading and unloading operations). The machine cycle time is 30 sec and we allowed about 30 sec for the operator to load and unload 10 pads onto/from the tray.
When the number of the pads to be loaded and unloaded from the tray is higher (small size pad), the total cycle time will increase (even if the machine cycle time will remain 30 sec) but the productivity will increase as in the same machine cycle time more pads will be ground. The productivity of the machine depends on the ability and skill of the operator.
